Project Summary

CeKaTe, founded by the City of Zagreb in 1979, is a non-profit public cultural center dedicated to education, art, and active community engagement. This project arises from CeKaTe’s continuous effort to strengthen its social impact and modernize its educational offer. Through this project, we aimed to learn from host organizations about internationalism and integration, gaining insight into effective practices that promote inclusion and intercultural understanding within adult education.

Our organization is committed to continuously enhancing our social impact and offering educational programs that support the health, well-being, knowledge, and integration of our adult learners. Through this project, we aim to observe, learn, and implement effective practices from other organizations across Europe. By doing so, we seek to avoid common pitfalls and instead benefit from the proven experiences of others.

The primary focus of this project is to explore successful approaches to adult education, particularly those that address challenges such as limited financial access, immigrant integration, and fostering social dialogue. We are especially interested in how other institutions have developed inclusive and impactful courses in these areas.

As a result of this learning exchange, we plan to:

  • Integrate newly gained insights into our curriculum,

  • Develop new adult learning courses that include digital literacy components,

  • Increase the visibility and recognition of our educational offerings,

  • Produce four short documentary-style films showcasing effective practices from participating organizations.

Ultimately, this project will strengthen our capacity to deliver meaningful, accessible, and socially relevant education to diverse adult learners.
