Završio 14. PSSST! Festival nijemog filma

Svečanom dodjelom nagrada u subotu, 7. studenoga 2020. je završio 14. PSSST! Festival nijemog filma koji se posljednja dva dana održavao u Centru za kulturu Trešnjevka.

Ocjenjivački sud natjecateljskog programa u sastavu Sara Hribar, Ivana Kragić, Zorko Sirotić nagradu Veliki Brcko dodijelio je filmu GNIJEŽĐENJE / Galchenok, Marat Narimanov (2020), Rusija, 7′, uz sljedeće objašnjenje:

Velikog Brcka dodjeljujemo ruskom filmu „Gniježđenje” Marata Narimanova, bezvremenoj priči o starosti, usamljenosti i pronalaženju prijateljstva. Film nas je dojmio svojom strukturom, vizualnim stilom i emocijom, vješto dramaturški građenom bez suvišne patetike, a s izuzetnim emotivnim djelovanjem na gledatelja. Struktura narativa i tehnika animacije izravno i razumljivo prenose emociju, dajući nam od nijemog filma sve što od njega želimo i očekujemo.

Glavna nagrada PSSST!-a posvećena je liku i djelu prvog hrvatskog nijemofilmskog junaka iz filma Brcko u Zagrebu.

Nagradu publike osvojio je film NEUGODNJAK / Awkward, Nata Metlukh (2020), SAD, 4′

U natjecateljskom programu prikazano je 19 kratkometražnih filmova.

Sve projekcije su uživo pratili vrhunski improvizatori – Vitomir Ivanjek na klaviru i Ivan Kapec Band.

Do iduće godine PSSST! pozdravlja sve posjetitelje i filmofile te najavljuje još pokoju aktivnost u skoroj budućnosti!

The 14^th PSSST! Silent film festival has ended

The 14^th PSSST! Silent film festival, that has been occupying the halls of the Tresnjevka culture center for the past two days, has ended on Saturday, 7 November 2020, with the official award ceremony.

The judges of the competitive part of the program: Sara Hribar, Ivana Kragić and Zorko Sirotić, have bestowed the Veliki Brcko award to the film Galchenok, by Marat Narimanov (2020), from Russia (7’), with the following words:

We award the Veliki Brcko to the Russian film “Galchenok” by Marat Narimanov, a timeless story of age, loneliness, and the search for friendship. The film impressed us with its structure, visual style, and emotion, skillfully built with no excessive pathos, but with an extraordinary emotional effect on the viewer. The narrative structure and the animation techniques deliver emotions directly and comprehensibly, awarding us with everything we could wish from a silent film.

The Veliki Brcko award of the PSSST! Festival is dedicated to the first Croatian silent film hero.

The prestigious audience award went to the film Awkward, Nata Ketlukh (2020), from the United States (4’).
