About the programme:    Irish dance has a therapeutic aspect as choreography of set dances includes many “Brain Gym” movements, as are: cross walking, hooking and lemniscates. Such exercises are stimulating both sides of the brain, as well as the whole of the motoric system of coordination, helping in the concentration and in the balance.
One of the main qualities of Irish dance is that more able members of the group are leading those less able and in that way they are creating harmonious unity of the dancing figure, in which no one is standing out.  In such way the connection of the group and the social interaction is build between the members of the group. That connection brings joy – the most important prime-mover, which makes us strong enough for complicated and demanding dance undertaking and makes each individual important part of the choreography.
